Our 45 Colt loading is designed for shooters who are tired of shooting Colt loadings that just dribble the bullet out of the barrel and bounce it a few times towards the target but want ammunition that safe for use in normal revolvers. This loading is an update of the old school 850FPS standard with a TMJ bullet instead of lead for better cleanliness and accuracy. The TMJ is softer than an FMJ and provides great accuracy in modern, tighter rifling and will expand enough to take in older, larger rifling designed around .454 bullets without any of the issues shooting lead bullets. If you are looking for a solid, safe load within the normal SAAMI 45 Colt pressure to use in your Colts, this is the ammunition for you. We've put 25 rounds per box to reflect the lower shooting volumes so you don't have to buy more than you need for a shooting session with your wheel gun.

This ammunition is manufactured by PBR using brand new brass, a fully encapsulated Total Metal Jacket (TMJ) plated bullet, new production OEM powder and primers on commercial class loading machines. Powder choice and charge are optimized to provide the ideal balance between recoil and velocity while at the same time providing an extremely clean burn to minimize post-range cleanup time. The bullet used in this ammunition has a hard, high quality swaged lead core and a thick plating layer completely enclosing it that will not separate even at high velocities. Each bullet is struck multiple times during manufacturing to ensure it is perfectly shaped and results in a bullet without the wrinkles, waves, or aberrations found on lower quality, thinly plated, soft cored bullets.
